General Information
DxCases accepts clinical cases in ultrasound and medical imaging for educational publication.
Before submitting materials, please make sure that all files are properly prepared and do not contain any patient-identifying information.
Clinical cases should contain sufficient information for educational review and interpretation.
Requirements for Image Preparation
Static Images
Recommended image size:
- width: 1200–1600 px;
- optimal resolution for web viewing;
- avoid excessive compression and loss of image details.
Preferred formats:
- JPG;
- PNG.
For ultrasound images:
- remove patient identifiers;
- crop unnecessary interface elements;
- preserve important measurements and annotations.
GIF Animations
GIF animations can be used to demonstrate:
- dynamic ultrasound findings;
- movement of structures;
- blood flow patterns;
- changes during examination.
Recommended parameters:
- width: approximately 900 px;
- optimized file size;
- sufficient image quality for educational purposes.
Avoid excessive duration and unnecessary frames.
DICOM files
DICOM files can be submitted when additional review of the study or visualization of image series is required.
Before submission:
- remove all patient-identifying information from DICOM metadata;
- verify that the files do not contain personal information;
- ensure that the study is suitable for educational purposes.
File Naming
Use clear and structured file names.
Recommended format:
- case number;
- modality;
- anatomical region;
- sequence or image number (if applicable).
Examples:
- Case001_US_liver.jpg
- Case002_CT_abdomen.png
- Case003_MRI_knee.jpg
Avoid:
- random file names;
- patient names;
- dates of birth;
- hospital identifiers.

Medical Image Anonymization
Before uploading files, remove all patient-identifying information.
This includes:
- patient name;
- date of birth;
- medical record number;
- hospital identifiers;
- QR codes;
- barcodes;
- any other personal information.
Clinical Information
A clinical case should include relevant information:
- patient age and sex;
- symptoms and clinical presentation;
- important laboratory findings (if relevant);
- previous examinations;
- clinical question.
Avoid including unnecessary personal information.
Submission of Materials
Prepared materials can be sent by email:

- imaging findings;
- diagnosis or final outcome (if available);
- information about diagnostic confirmation.
Important Information
All submitted materials must be anonymized before publication.
